MALAGA---A parade in the middle of the night(that actually goes to 4:00 in the morning) that had men dressed in long black suits with cone-shaped hats. there was also about 100 men carrying floats. We only stayed there until 12:00 in the middle of the night. There was 2 floats.
RONDA---A huge bridge. We went on a huge cliff that seemed like half of a mile tall. We went to a bull fighting ring. Dad put the gopro on my head and I was the bull and Ryan was the bull fighter and he waved his red sweatshirt in front of him and I ran at it.It was fun! We hiked down on a big pathway so we could see the bridge.
NERJA---The balcony of Europe. We actually went to church first because it was a Sunday. We couldn’t understand anything they were saying because it was all Spanish. After church we went to the beach. But we didn’t get to swim in it though, because (1.)it was too cold. (2.)it was a Sunday. We only got to dip our feet and our legs in it.The beach was fun! We had paella to eat – which is rice and shrimp and there was a big shrimp with claws on Carter’s plate. I liked it sort of. We put all the skin and heads of the Shrimp on a napkin and when Katie was talking to Mom and Dad we put it on her plate. When she came back she screamed. And then Dad told us to do it again for the video. We went to some caves and I read all the things that I could. For part of it I was buddies with Matthew and had to take care of him. And the other part I just ran to the very front with Josh and Megan.
GIBRALTER---A land of wild monkeys. There was 3 attacks there. one,a monkey jumped on moms chest, ripped the plastic bag of nuts, and they all fell on the floor and the monkey started eating them all. two, a monkey stole Katie’s jacket, chewed on it, and put it in a tree, but we got it backs.Third, while a monkey was stealing Katie’s jacket, a monkey slapped Matthew in the face, just to play with him. Gibraltar was the funnest place we went to. We had fish and chips in a BAR! and then we had Magnum bars which is little ice creams for dessert.
SEVILLE---A totally awesome cathedral. I know the four biggest Cathedrals.
- St. Peters in Rome. (I’ve been there)
- St. Paul’s in London.
- The Cathedral of Seville. (I’ve been there)
- The Duomo of Milan. (I’ve been there.)
Dad read us stuff about Seville – mostly about this Cathedral and Ryan was usually was the first person to answer the quiz questions. After the cathedral I saw some plastic fans and really wanted one. I saw a man selling little journals and I really wanted one. We went to some gardens and played tag with the Dads. Dad and Jared were it. We kept on cheating and using the boys to untag us for freeze tag. We went on a boat ride and mom was taking pictures of us and kept getting ahead of the boat. We had crepes for dinner and I got chocolate as usual.
MARBELLA---A beach that was only 15 minutes away. On the drive Megan and I colored a Dora coloring book mostly because we just like coloring. We played tag with the waves. We ran up and tried to tag the waves. The big waves usually tagged us so then we had to tag it back. etc. I buried myself in the sand a lot. Katie, Hanna, Carter and Ryan had a race thing. They had four different things they had to do. It was boys against girls and it was fun to watch.
- They had to see who could dig the deepest hole in two minutes.
- They had to see who could burry someone in sand first. (The girls buried me the boys buried Jake)
- They had a relay race to the water then back to the line 3 times each.
- They had to get wet up to their necks, then get all dirty in the sand and then wash it off in the water.
Jared made spaghetti for the kids at home and the parents went out for dinner. It was tasty.
GRANADA – We packed up and drove to Granada and went straight to the Alhambra. The walls were very colorful and crazy. We decided who would have each room if it were our castle. We went to a new hotel and got two rooms. The boys were in one and the girls in another. Then we went to see the Alhambra as it was starting to get dark. It was pretty. When we got back we said goodbye to the Chuggs because we were leaving the next day.
TOLEDO – We saw Toledo without the Chuggs. Megan got a postcard and all the girls got a fan, each with white polka dots. Katie and I got little key chains to put on our backpacks. Katie wanted to trade but I said no. We looked at all the stores and the jewelry and clothes and I wanted to get a lot of it. Then we took a plan ride back and got back at one o'clock in the morning. It was a fun spring break.
